For much of my career, I’ve helped people with their homes. As the owner of a property management company for more than a decade, I saw firsthand how a safe, well-maintained home can improve quality of life.
My passion for accessibility began long before Safe Harbour Home Services. Growing up, I was close to my aunt, who lives with a significant disability. Watching her navigate daily challenges taught me that independence isn’t about doing everything yourself, it’s about having the right environment and support.

That lesson became even more personal when my father-in-law, who lives with Parkinson’s disease and dementia, moved into our home. Making accessibility and safety modifications for him gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges families face when helping loved ones remain independent.
These experiences inspired me to become a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and co-found Safe Harbour Home Services. Today, my mission is to help seniors and individuals with mobility challenges stay safe, confident, and independent in the homes they love, while providing practical solutions and peace of mind for the families who support them.
For over 15 years, I owned and operated an electrical contracting company as a Red Seal Electrician. Working in hundreds of homes taught me that the most important part of the job wasn’t simply completing the work; it was earning people’s trust and helping them feel safe and comfortable in their homes.
As my parents and in-laws began to age, that idea took on a much more personal meaning. I saw firsthand how changes in mobility, vision, hearing, and everyday abilities can affect a person’s independence, and how challenging it can be for families trying to provide the right support.
Helping my own family made me recognize the growing need for trustworthy, capable people who understand the unique challenges of aging at home. That realization ultimately led me to sell my electrical contracting business and co-found Safe Harbour Home Services.
Today, my focus is on helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the homes they love. I bring the same care, patience, and respect to every client that I would want for my own family, while giving their loved ones confidence and peace of mind.
